Introducing Tai Hwa Goh , an artist featured in the AKAA Archive.

Tai Hwa Goh creates delicately layered installations from printed and cut paper. Drawing imagery from biological forms and landscapes, her work reflects on the accumulation of memory and experience, as well as the interior and exterior worlds of the human body. Through cutting, folding, and layering hand-printed paper, she forms intricate three-dimensional structures that engage with the architecture of a space.

Her installations often take the form of tubes, pipes, and spherical forms filled with fluid-like strands of paper—metaphors for bodily cycles, industrial systems, and natural phenomena, as well as the continuous processes of growth and decay. By juxtaposing tropical landscape imagery with fragments of American suburbia, Goh explores themes of displacement, loss, and absence while responding to the architecture of each exhibition site.

Opening night of To time, to distance

Co-curated by and , the exhibition brings together works by Alisa Berger (.berger.mun), Daria Kim (), Luiza Pârvu (.parvu), and Toma Peiu ().

Through gestures of remembering and re-framing, the artists engage the afterlives of the 1937 deportation of Koreans from the Russian Far East—tracing how displacement continues to shape diasporic subjectivities across time and space.
