dropped stitches?? on PURPOSE??? 😅 i upcycled this knit top to be as distressed as me and now i wear it all the time — i’m feeling like 🧡

y’all asked for a pattern but this top was thrifted! however, this stitch-dropping process will work on anything knit in stockinette. be sure to only cut one loop so the stitches become stripes! if you cut two next to each other, you’ll get holes. after accidentally making a hole, i added a few more to make it look intentional. that’s the beauty of DIY! ♻️

I haven’t vended recently because for a while, I had nothing to show. I was feeling so creatively stifled by the pressure to maintain my rep as “the crochet girl” that I avoided making anything at all 🫩 Once I freed myself from the imaginary box of a “niche”, I had so much more creative freedom!

This weekend was very special to me because I got to debut my first pieces of upcyled jewelry, clothes and accessories for ✨ I brought back all my old favorite techniques - beading, bleaching, painting - and you all loved it! Thank you for reminding me I can’t be a singular expression of myself when there’s too many manifestations… you get it! 🥹🫶🏾

G**s, you’re next! Bag/Carabiner charms, tops, ties, distressed t-shirts… let me know what you want to see on Sunday so I can make sure it’s in stock! 🫡🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Come create, swap materials, try visible mending or use the sewing machine! Supplies will be provided for crochet, knitting, and mending/sewing along with TA’s from KOC and Another World to assist with your projects (maybe even create your own flag 👀🤭)

Ready to crochet something functional and fashionable? 🧶 Join Knot Okay Club’s beginner crochet workshop series at BEM! Camryn will lead you through the steps to create your own handmade crochet market bag: a multi-use summer bag for farmer’s markets, park days, street festivals and more! ☀️ RSVP TODAY - Limited seats available!

What to expect:
• All materials provided (crochet hooks and yarn)
• Crochet 101 Overview - stitch anatomy and basic stitches of crochet
• Hands-on instruction and support for each section of the bag
• A take-home guide and crochet pattern to continue your practice at home

We recommend this series as a follow-up after taking Intro to Crochet and making the coaster - it’s the same 2 stitches! You can choose which sessions you would like to attend based on your knowledge of crochet.

If you are a complete beginner, you will need to attend the May 30th session to learn the two stitches. We recommend you take all 3 classes as each section of the bag is different!
