Every young person deserves the chance to connect with and contribute to their community! Youth Service America’s vision for a new era of youth service is a reminder of what’s possible when we make room for young people to participate and lead. We were thrilled to be included in the New Era of Youth Service in America Partner Forum in Albany earlier this week.

We’re excited to partner with 30 NYC Public Schools through the Every Student, Every Day attendance strategy! 🎉

Through a Mentoring Mindset and relationship-centered practices, we’re helping schools build stronger student-adult connections that foster belonging, deepen engagement, and support improved attendance. 💙

Participating schools will be the first to complete MENTOR New York’s Relationship-Centered Attendance Assessment, identifying actionable strategies to strengthen relationships and create school communities where students feel seen, supported, and connected.

The outcome: more engaged students, stronger attendance, and more students Chronically Present—attending school 90% or more of the time.

Because relationships matter. Belonging matters. Every day matters.

Participants explored how trust, empathy, consistency, encouragement, and authentic connection can strengthen mentoring relationships and create meaningful experiences for mentors and mentees.
