The Immigrant and Employee Rights Section (IER), part of the DOJ Civil Rights Division, invites you to join a stakeholder call on September 14 at 2:00 p.m. EST to learn more about IER’s recently filed lawsuit against SpaceX alleging discrimination against asylees and refugees in hiring.

The lawsuit claims that, from at least September 2018 to May 2022, SpaceX, including its recruiters and high-level officials, routinely discouraged asylees and refugees from applying and refused to hire or fairly consider them, because of their citizenship status. As IER noted in its lawsuit, SpaceX hires for a variety of positions, ranging from welders, cooks, crane operators, information technology specialists, rocket engineers, and more.
