IMPACT, part of the United Nations Fashion and Lifestyle Network, is excited to welcome Lindsay Peoples to our new Advisory Board. Ms. Peoples is the Editor-in-Chief of The Cut and co-founder of the Black in Fashion Council.

Ms. Peoples was drawn to the world of fashion after attending the Ebony Fashion Fair show as a young girl. Seeing Black models in couture sparked what would begin as a hobby and grow into her career. She is inspired by creatives because of the work it takes to bring about a vision. In her free time, Ms. Peoples enjoys playing the piano, horseback riding, and painting.

We are thrilled to have her expertise on our team!

Did you know that IMPACT Fashion Week is a part of the United Nations Fashion and Lifestyle Network? We are a part of 440 similar organizations that have been certified as supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals. IMPACT’s mission helps to support goals 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 16, and 17. We are excited to share more about how we support each goal in the coming weeks. Special thanks to Kerry Bannigan, co-founder of the network, for speaking at our last event!

Happy Earth Day from IMPACT NYFW! Creating an inclusive space for sustainable fashion designers is a year-round practice. Our designers are constantly at work creating new designs from pre-loved or sustainably sourced materials, and we are always proud to highlight the IMPACT their work has on the fashion community!
