This , RiseBoro is taking another major step toward a greener, more affordable New York.

We’ve closed financing on a $4.3 million solar project that will bring nearly 600 kilowatts of clean energy to 12 affordable housing properties across Brooklyn and the Bronx.

And the impact goes far beyond reducing emissions. Over the next 25 years, the project is expected to save our buildings millions in electricity costs, freeing up resources for repairs, amenities, and improvements that directly benefit residents.

🎭 The reviews are in!

Auditions, a Francis Blacklock production at the RiseBoro Youth Center, earned rave reviews, and it’s easy to see why.

At My Voice Theatre, young people don’t just take the stage—they help shape what happens on it. The show was created collaboratively, with the youth community helping choose the themes they wanted to explore and bringing their own ideas, perspectives, and creativity to the story.

The result? A show shaped by young people, for young people, and a production audiences couldn’t stop talking about. Congrats!! 👏✨

🎉 We’re proud to celebrate Emily Kurtz, RiseBoro’s Chief Housing and Development Officer, on being named one of City and State NY's 2026 Trailblazers in Real Estate.

For more than two decades, Emily has helped shape RiseBoro into one of New York’s leading affordable housing organizations, guiding the development and preservation of thousands of homes and helping grow our housing pipeline to more than $1 billion.

Her leadership can be seen in projects like Baisley Pond Park Residences, which transformed a former hotel into hundreds of permanently affordable homes, and Bethany Senior Terraces, an innovative all-electric modular development created for older New Yorkers.

☀️ A beloved RiseBoro tradition is BACK! ☀️

After 10 years away, the RiseBoro Older Adult Picnic returned to Sunken Meadow State Park! More than 900 older adults from across our community came together for a summer day filled with great food, old friends, and plenty of reasons to celebrate being together again.

Here’s to bringing back the traditions we love, and creating new memories and friendships along the way. 💛

And a special thank you to Assemblywoman Maritza Davila, who helped make the return of this beloved tradition one we’ll never forget.
