We are throwing a garden bash to celebrate the end of the season and our sweet paw paw harvest! 🥭✨ Have you ever tried a paw paw? Come taste one at our tasting station!

After years of graffiti, El Garden is beyond excited to finally unveil our large,vibrant new mural! We are incredibly grateful to everyone who brought this project to life. Huge shoutout to garden member Aiden Symes , an incredibly talented muralist who generously donated his time and artistry to design this piece. Massive thanks to jimmiecostello for leading the fundraising efforts, and to our amazing community whose donations covered the supplies to make this dream a reality.

EL Garden has lots going on next weekend! Join the compost team on Saturday for lots of shoveling. We need to move an older pile to a new location and turn our new pile for aeration.

¡El próximo fin de semana habrá mucha actividad en EL Garden! Únete al equipo de compostaje el sábado para dar unas cuantas paladas. Tenemos que trasladar una pila antigua a un nuevo emplazamiento y remover nuestra nueva pila para airearla.

💪 WE NEED YOUR MUSCLE! 🛠️
Big news, neighbors! El Garden is finally getting its very own water spigot installed! 🎉 No more wheeling a heavy hose cart across the street and down the block every single week just to keep our green space alive. This is a massive milestone for us!

To make room for the installation, we need a crew to help clear the space.
📅 When: Sunday, August 9th at 10:00 AM

🌿 The Mission: Moving heavy rocks, clearing planters, and safely relocating a lilac bush.

📝Bonus: Our monthly members’ meeting will begin around 1:00 PM to discuss upcoming garden happenings and events!

Bring your “can-do” attitude and a pair of work gloves. See you in the dirt!

💪¡NECESITAMOS TU FUERZA! 🛠️
¡Grandes noticias, vecinos! ¡Por fin van a instalar un grifo de agua propio en El Garden! 🎉 Se acabaron los días de cruzar la calle empujando un pesado carrito con manguera y caminar toda la cuadra cada semana solo para mantener vivo nuestro espacio verde. ¡Este es un gran logro para nosotros!Para hacer espacio para la instalación, necesitamos un equipo que nos ayude a despejar el lugar.

📅 Cuándo: Domingo 9 de agosto a las 10:00 AM

🌿 La misión: Mover rocas pesadas, despejar jardineras y reubicar de manera segura un arbusto de lilas.

Do you have food scraps in your freezer? Are they taking up space that could be filled by ice cream? This is your reminder to stop procrastinating and bring them to EL Garden! We are in need of more food scraps for our work day and we need your help. Stop by on Monday or Tuesday during evening open hours or on Wednesday at 4:00 to drop off your food scraps. We’ll turn them into compost!

¿Tienes restos de comida en el congelador? ¿Están ocupando espacio que podría destinarse al helado? ¡Este es tu recordatorio para que dejes de darle largas y los traigas a EL Garden! Necesitamos más restos de comida para nuestra jornada de trabajo y necesitamos tu ayuda. Pásate el lunes o el martes durante el horario de apertura nocturno, o el miércoles a las 16:00, para dejar tus restos de comida. ¡Los convertiremos en abono!
