The Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) is the largest organised relationship between the United Nations and business schools, with the PRME Secretariat housed in the UN Global Compact Office. The mission of PRME is to transform management education, research and thought leadership globally by providing the Principles for Responsible Management Education framework, developing learning communities and promoting awareness about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Currently, over 650 signatories representing 85 countries have signed up to PRME.

🌍 We're excited to announce that Climate Literacy Training is back at the end of the month!

Climate Literacy Training is a transformative programme that equips educators, communities, organizations, and students with the knowledge and tools to drive climate action.

Topics include:
➡️Positive future scenarios and climate justice
➡️Climate science and the matching high impact climate solutions
➡️Carbon calculation and individual action
➡️Climate change mitigation

The training, was developed by Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University, PRME Champions, oikos International, and The Carbon Literacy Project.

🌏 14 regions across the PRME community connect to advance responsible management education.

The 7th Annual PRME Global Chapter Forum brought together Chapter leaders, UN Global Compact leadership, and partners from across the network to exchange expertise and explore how regional collaboration can translate global sustainability priorities into local action.

Building on the momentum of the 2026 PRME Global Forum in Cairo, participants exchanged ideas and explored opportunities to:
🔹 Strengthen international research collaboration and knowledge sharing across Chapters.
🔹 Turn PRME's Sharing Information on Progress (SIP) reporting into actionable insights for institutional improvement.
🔹 Connect academic expertise with industry partners to advance teaching, research, and sustainable business practices.
🔹 Build stronger connections between PRME Chapters and Working Groups to scale initiatives across regions.

PRME Working Groups are dynamic communities of Signatory Members who deepen collaboration in and across institutions on specific issues relevant to corporate sustainability, responsibility management education.

We welcome expressions of interest from Signatory Members (individuals or groups) who wish to propose a new Working Group in response to emerging issues, gaps, or opportunities aligned with PRME’s mission or the Sustainable Development Goals.

Bajo el lema “Colaborar para transformar: Valores colectivos en la educación responsable”, este evento de dos días reunirá a docentes, investigadores, estudiantes y líderes del ámbito académico, empresarial, gubernamental y de la sociedad civil para explorar cómo la acción colectiva puede impulsar la educación en gestión responsable y el desarrollo sostenible en toda la región.

🌟 Signatory Spotlight: Yorkville University 🌟

Students at Yorkville University put their learning into practice through hands-on projects with real stakes. At the 2026 Ontario Project Management Competition, one Yorkville student team earned first place by applying project management principles through a responsible management lens to advance the Sustainable Development Goals.

Built on lessons from both previous setbacks and applied coursework, the project demonstrates how experiential learning can help students manage complexity, learn through iteration, and turn classroom knowledge into real-world action.

What if every promising innovation developed within your university had a pathway to market?

PRME and FyrstGen are inviting universities across the global PRME community and beyond to join the Launch the Future Global Innovation Challenge and open a new pathway to commercialization for their students, researchers, and IP holders.

Universities can gain free access to FyrstGen’s IP commercialization platform, allowing their innovation community to submit promising IP for evaluation and potential commercialization.

For selected innovations, FyrstGen takes on the costs, operational burden, and risks of building and commercializing the company, while the primary IP holder receives 25% non-dilutive equity.

For universities, this means expanding the opportunities available to innovators without requiring them to become entrepreneurs themselves, while creating new possibilities for research to generate real-world impact and value.

The Challenge also offers up to $50,000 in prizes for participating institutions, referrals, and innovators, as well as opportunities for global visibility.

The UN General Assembly High-Level Week brought leaders from across sectors together in New York to address global challenges and advance collective action.

Throughout the week, the PRME community contributed student and educator perspectives to conversations on capital and markets in systems change, connecting business and finance education with STEM, and advancing responsible leadership.
