Happy Eid Al-Adha Mubarak. May kindness, patience, and love be yours on this holy festival of Eid.
The celebration of Eid Al-Adha typically lasts for three days, and during this time, Muslims gather together with their friends and family to dine and partake in various festive activities. It is a time of forgiveness, reflection, and community.

Eid Mubarak! May you enjoy a blessed Eid el-Fiter time with family and friends.

Easter Celebrations from Around the World

Jerusalem - For Christians in Jerusalem, Easter is a solemn and traditional celebration. The streets and alleys of the Old City in Jerusalem are packed with thousands of faithful pilgrims and priests walk the Via Dolorosa; the same path that Jesus did on the day he was nailed to the cross. Many hold crosses in spiritual support of their Lord, and the procession (known as The Way of the Cross) is one of the most amazing religious sights in the world.

Europe - For many, Easter arrives with the promise of long weekends, easter egg hunts, and the ability to overindulge in an excessive amount of chocolate without fear of judgement. But while this might be the norm for countries like the United Kingdom, Australia, the USA, and Canada other cultures have their own unique Easter celebrations.

Whether it’s blowing up a cart of fireworks in Florence, following Jesus’ footsteps in Jerusalem, or drenching each other with buckets of water in Poland, here are some of the ways Easter is celebrated around the world.

This Syrian chef streams cooking videos with sign language To make online tutorials more accessible for the hearing impaired. Chef Aman al-Ashi’s lessons use sign language and captions, and she hopes to teach in-person classes for the hearing impaired in the future.

In Brussels, an education assistant Wendy Schellemans made transparent masks… So students with hearing impairments can still read lips.

Technology is also widening access to vital information. Apple’s iOS 14 and later have a new sound-recognition feature… That notifies the user when it hears an urgent sound such as a siren or smoke alarm. YouTube now includes captioned sound effects for laughter, claps or music to make video content more dynamic for the hearing impaired.

How else can we make the world more accessible for people with disabilities?
