Keep a Child Alive (KCA) is a global movement born out of a commitment to
support children facing the most challenging circumstances. KCA has been a beacon of hope for over two decades, providing vital assistance and hope to children and families in need. Since our inception, we have changed the lives of 5.1 million children, supported
41 community partners in 28 countries, and raised $86.6 million. We want every child to have the opportunity to become all they can, regardless of

When children see themselves in the stories they read, they can begin to imagine what is possible. 📚✨

At Ezimbuzini, our KCA Ambassador Princess Nandi Zulu KaZwelithini brought together storytelling, culture and community in a powerful celebration of children and their potential.

As the author of The Adventures of Princess Nandi, Princess Nandi uses the power of literature to connect young people with African heritage, imagination and possibility.

Her visit was also a celebration of the community itself, alongside local leaders, cultural custodians and the children and families of Ezimbuzini.

We were especially honored to see Princess Nandi recognized with a Certificate of Recognition for her commitment to empowering children through literature, culture and storytelling.

At Keep A Child Alive, we believe that creating a healthier future for children means recognizing the whole child — their health, their dignity, their identity, their voice and their dreams.

Because every child deserves not only the opportunity to survive, but the opportunity to imagine, learn and thrive.

Digital Democracy started with a simple belief: every child should have the opportunity to understand and create with technology.

What began as one Code Club grew into schools, teacher training, coding and robotics, learning pathways, and a growing community of young people equipped to create, solve problems and shape the digital future.

The journey has shown us what is possible when we invest not only in learners, but in the teachers, schools and communities around them.

And this is only the beginning.
