Last night, we held our orientation session for our Evening ESL Classes, officially marking the beginning of the 2026–2027 school year at University Settlement Adult Literacy.

Over the past few days, we’ve had the joy of connecting with hundreds of students across our weekend, daytime, and evening programs. Now, it’s time for the learning to begin! 📚💙

Our daytime orientation was full of energy, excitement, and so many new faces! 📚💙 We had a fantastic turnout as students came together to learn more about our ESL program, meet our team, and get ready for the year ahead.

Seeing such a big crowd of students excited to learn and take the next step in their English journey was truly inspiring. 🌟

This morning, our halls were filled with smiles, new faces, and excitement as we gathered for orientation for our 2026–2027 Weekend ESL Classes!📚💙

We’re excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and connection. Our students bring different experiences, backgrounds, and goals to the classroom, and we look forward to supporting them as they build their English skills and work toward their personal and professional goals.

We did something a little new and different today! Our HHA students all became CPR trained and certified 🎖️

Being able to correctly perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) could mean the difference between life and death. Having this certification empowers our students and increases their confidence in the event of an emergency on the street or with their future patient.

🎓➡️🏥 One milestone down, and an exciting future ahead!

Congratulations to our Bridge to Healthcare students on completing the first portion of their HHA training. Over the last four weeks, they have strengthened the English, communication, and workplace skills needed to thrive in healthcare settings.

Next up: HHA training and certification through our partnership with 1199SEIU. We’re so proud of their hard work and perseverance. Help us celebrate these future healthcare heroes and wish them luck as they begin their next chapter! 👏✨💙
