Sometimes, the hardest decisions are the ones that change your life.

For LaShae, navigating her health meant facing difficult choices, weighing uncertainty, and learning to advocate for herself along the way.

Her story is a powerful reminder that behind every diagnosis is a person making decisions about their future, their well-being, and what matters most.

Hear LaShae share her perspective in her own words. 💛

Awareness is important, but connection is what makes a difference. 💛

For Bethany Bethany (Webb) Adair, finding people who truly understand the cancer experience is about more than sharing stories. It’s about feeling seen, supported, and less alone through every stage of the journey.

At CancerBuddy, we’re creating space for those connections to happen, bringing patients, survivors, and caregivers together with people who just get it.

Cancer treatment affects more than you might expect, and changes to your skin can be one of the side effects that doesn’t get talked about enough. 💛

That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Skin Union group on CancerBuddy.

Created in partnership with Skin Union Founder and CancerBuddy Ambassador Cathy O’Brien, this group is a space to connect with others navigating skin changes during and after cancer treatment, ask questions, share experiences, and learn from experts who understand.

As reminds us, breast cancer doesn’t discriminate by age. While screenings often don’t begin until age 40, the reality is that young people face this diagnosis too, often when they least expect it.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re sharing an important reminder to know your body, advocate for your health, and never dismiss a concern simply because you think you’re too young.

And for those navigating a diagnosis at any age, CancerBuddy is here to help you find people who understand. 💛

There’s something incredibly powerful about connecting with someone who truly understands what you’re going through. 💛

CancerBuddy Founder Christina Merrill recently joined the People Worth Caring About podcast to share the story behind CancerBuddy and why peer support can make such a meaningful difference during a cancer journey.

Because while family and friends can offer incredible love and support, there’s a unique comfort in talking to someone who has walked in your shoes.

One of the most powerful parts of connecting with others who have experienced cancer is a sense of understanding that doesn't need to be explained. 💗

For Bethany, it was finding a community of people who understood what it was like to face cancer at a young age, while her peers were building families and careers. For Megan, it was finding people she could lean on without feeling like she was burdening her family. For Kathryn, it was the connection that comes from knowing someone truly understands what you've been through. And for Lashae, it was discovering a community that brings people of different ages, diagnoses and experiences together.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're reminded that while everyone's cancer journey is different but the common thread that ties us all together is simple: no one should have to navigate it alone.

That's what CancerBuddy is all about. A place to find your people, share your experiences and feel understood.
Find your community through the CancerBuddy app.
