NOIAW is proud to see our own Lisa Ackerman, historian and NOIAW Board member, moderating an important conversation on memory, history, and Italian identity.

Join authors Jennifer Anton and Laura Morelli on Friday, October 9, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. at the New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue as they explore the process of uncovering family memories and writing about the experiences of wartime and Italian identity.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. We hope to see members of our NOIAW community there!

What do our Italian roots have to do with the women we’ve become?

Join NOIAW in New Haven on October 13 for a special conversation with Patricia Russo, Executive Director of The Campaign School at Yale, and Wise Woman U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro.

Together, they’ll explore the Italian American traditions, values, and cultural influences that have shaped generations of women and the groundbreaking leadership roles Italian American women continue to hold.

Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for a reception and networking, with the program beginning at 6:00 p.m. Light bites and one drink are included, and gentlemen are always welcome.

Proceeds support NOIAW scholarships and cultural programming.

NOIAW’s Mentoring Program connects members seeking guidance and professional growth with experienced women ready to share their knowledge, perspective, and support.

For mentees, it’s a chance to learn and grow. For mentors, it’s an opportunity to give back and strengthen the next generation of women in our community.
