The Summer Institute impact is forever. πŸ’œ

During final celebration, Aderayo, a Newark Nasher reflected on what it meant to see themselves as a leader for the first time:

πŸ’¬ β€œIt was so nice to be able to see myself as a leader, from my own perspective. That changes something in you.”

That’s the power of Summer Institute: helping young people recognize the leadership already within them. πŸ’œ

Summer Institute is a Wrap! ✨

Last Thursday, Nashers gathered across all four sites to showcase their work, celebrate their accomplishments, and build community with their for their final celebrations!

Shout out to our amazing Summer Institute staff for making this summer a success! We also want to thank you, our larger who continue to support us along the way. ✎ Happy International Youth Day!

Young people are at the heart of everything we do at Sadie Nash, and their ability to boldly lead inspires us all. This year's theme, "Different Contexts, Common Aspirations," celebrates the power of young people bringing their full, authentic selves to create lasting change.

This Summer Institute, we held 5 sites in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and Newark, NJ and while Nashers came from their own cities, boroughs, and lived experiences, they came together with shared goals and a desire to speak truth to power.

Today, and every day, we celebrate young people courageous enough to bring change to a better future. Swipe ➑️ to see Nashers in action over the years.πŸ’œ

πŸ’œ Once a Nasher, Always a Nasher πŸ’œ

Last week, we hosted out first ever Alumni Day in NYC! The evening was full of laughs, crafting, games, and reminiscing on our favorite Sadie Nash moments. Alumni Day was a beautiful reminder that we're always in community with each other no matter how much time passes.

A big thank you to Magnolia Bakery for making our bingo winner feel extra special with that first-place prize!

Thank you for showing up, sharing your energy and experiences, and continuing to be part of the Sadie Nash community.
