Something unexpected happens when you live far from Switzerland.

The country doesn’t fade from memory.
It becomes more meaningful than ever.

The mountains feel higher.
The lakes feel quieter.
The villages feel closer to the heart.

For many Swiss living abroad, distance transforms familiar landscapes into symbols of belonging, memory, and identity.

This feeling inspired Timeless Switzerland — a beautifully illustrated three-volume series exploring the country’s most extraordinary landscapes, heritage sites, and legends.

The trilogy includes:
1. Echoes from the Cascades and Mountains
2. Castles, Monasteries, and Legends
3. Lakes and Rivers of Folklore and Memory (arriving March 27)

Across the three volumes, readers rediscover:
- Alpine waterfalls hidden deep within mountain valleys
- Majestic castles, quiet monasteries, and old towns shaped by centuries of history
- Enchanting lakes and mysterious rivers are woven into local folklore
- Places that helped shape Switzerland’s cultural memory

Timeless Switzerland is more than a travel collection—it’s an invitation to rediscover the landscapes and stories that make the country unforgettable, no matter how near or far you are from Switzerland.

The final volume of the trilogy is scheduled to arrive on March 27 on Amazon.

✨ Meet The Team ✨

Next up in our Meet The Team series is Tamara “Tammy” Maurer, our Secretary.

Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to an American mother and a Swiss father, Tammy grew up in the charming village of Rombach near Aarau, Switzerland — proudly holding dual citizenship. 🇨🇭🇺🇸

Tammy is a corporate associate at Wuersch & Gering LLP in New York City. She studied law in both Switzerland and the U.S., earning her Bachelor and Master of Law from the University of Zurich and a J.D. from Tulane Law School in New Orleans.

Now based in Manhattan with her boyfriend and their two adorable Pomeranians, Poppy and Daisy 🐾, Tammy enjoys exploring the city, strolling through Central Park, and visiting family and friends in both Switzerland and Louisiana.

Volunteering for the Swiss Society allows her to embrace her heritage while building community in New York. We’re grateful for her dedication, energy, and passion in her role as Secretary since 2023!

✨ Meet The Team ✨
Next up in our Meet The Team series is Marie-Helene Blanchet Zumofen, our Vice President of the Swiss Gala.

Marie-Helene works at Hoffmann-La Roche as a Global Access Evidence Lead, bringing over experience in evidence generation for reimbursement dossiers and a decade of experience in product development. She holds a PhD from the Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research (ISREC) and an MBA from Cornell University.
