Sermon Summary: “Let It Be”
Speaker: Rev. Dr. Vilma Chesney
Scripture Focus: John 14:1–6
The message “Let It Be” reminds us to trust God, release our worries, and find peace in knowing that He is always in control.
Life brings challenges, disappointments, grief, and burdens that sometimes feel too heavy to carry. However, Jesus reminds us, “Let not your heart be troubled.” Even as He faced His greatest suffering, Jesus remained confident in His Father’s plan, knowing that what appeared to be defeat would ultimately become a glorious victory.
Rev. Dr. Chesney emphasized that “Let It Be” does not mean giving up or ignoring our problems. Instead, it means learning to release what we cannot control, surrendering our anxiety, and trusting God after we have done all we can.
Jesus also reassured His disciples that this earthly life is not the end. In His Father’s house are many mansions, and He has prepared a place for those who believe in Him. This promise gives us comfort, especially when facing loss, uncertainty, and difficult seasons.
Key Takeaway 🌿
Faith means knowing when to stop worrying, stop fighting what we cannot change, and simply let God have His way.
We may not understand everything we experience, but we can trust that God is working things out for our good. Even in our darkest moments, there is hope, light beyond the darkness, and victory through Christ.
