Be the reason someone feels NOT ALONE 💛

We’re inviting students to be part of the Brown County Yellow Ribbon Youth Program!

This is a space where young people can learn, connect, and become a source of support for their peers. 🫶

Through the program, students will:

🧠 Learn more about mental health and awareness
🤝 Build meaningful connections with other youth
💛 Learn how to support a friend who may be struggling
📣 Become advocates for mental health in their schools and communities
🌟 Help create a culture where asking for help is okay

Parents: Give your teen the opportunity to be part of something that can make a lasting difference.

Youth: Your voice matters. Your presence matters. And you never know whose life you might impact simply by being there.

You Matter. Your Life Matters.

Mental health is just as important as physical health. It’s okay to not be okay, and it’s okay to ask for help.

Know the warning signs that someone may be struggling:
• Talking about feeling hopeless or like a burden
• Withdrawing from family and friends
• Major changes in mood or behavior
• Increased use of alcohol or drugs
• Giving away belongings or saying goodbye

What you can do:
💛Check in with loved ones.
💛Listen without judgment.
💛 Encourage professional support.
💛 Remind people they are not alone.

If you notice someone withdrawing, expressing hopelessness, or behaving differently, don’t ignore it. Reach out. Ask how they’re doing. Listen without judgment.

Together, we can create communities where no one has to suffer in silence.

If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. In an emergency, call 911.

Supporting someone isn’t about having all the answers. Sometimes it starts with:

• “I’ve noticed you seem overwhelmed.”
• “I’m here for you.”
• “Would you like to talk?”

Listening can make a difference🌻
