ISD 88 Foundation Non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and celebrating New Ulm Public Schools.

The primary goal of the Foundation is to provide the District with a perpetual source of funds for the purpose of enhancing student achievement and development. This will be accomplished by soliciting, managing and distributing supplemental funds for educational programs and projects that are not within the budget capabilities of New Ulm School District 88.

We’re at $690,000 — and our goal is $1 MILLION! 🚀

What if your donation could help support New Ulm students for generations to come? That’s the power of an endowment.

An endowment is a fund designed to grow over time, creating a lasting source of financial support. By building the ISD 88 Foundation Endowment to $1 million, we can create a stronger foundation for supporting educational opportunities throughout all levels of ISD 88 — from early childhood through graduation.

Thanks to $9,000+ in ISD 88 Foundation grant funding, Special Education Teacher Erika Lieser brought her vision for a Gross Motor Room at Washington Learning Center to life!

The new space gives students opportunities to move, climb, balance, build coordination and strengthen fine motor skills—all while learning through play! 🏃🖐

For $250, you can adopt a classroom through the ISD 88 Foundation’s Adopt a Classroom program. Your donation can be:

• Unrestricted — let the Foundation match your gift with a classroom in need
• Subject-specific — support areas like math, reading, science, music, art and more
• Specialty-area focused — support technology, STEM, special education, or another area meaningful to you
• Grade-level focused — choose the age group you’d like to support
CTE Center is included! 🛠️ Help support hands-on learning and the trades by directing your donation toward Career & Technical Education.

We’re on our way to $1 MILLION in the ISD 88 Foundation Endowment Fund — and we need YOU to help us get there!

Our Endowment Fund was created to grow over time so we can give even more back to ISD 88 students and educators for generations to come.
Right now, we’re putting:

📚 $10,000 toward educator-driven grants
🎓 $1,500 toward scholarships
And in 2026, the ISD 88 Foundation added another $10,000 of our own funds to the Endowment!

✏️👐 FUNDED BY ISD 88 FOUNDATION: Fine Motor Fun! 👐✏️

Last spring, the ISD 88 Foundation provided $1,500 in funding for fine motor tools and activities for Ms. Jill Berdan’s Eagles 3 Class at Washington Learning Center! 🦅💜

For our youngest learners, developing fine motor skills is about so much more than simply learning how to hold a pencil. At ages 3–4, children are building the hand strength, coordination, dexterity and control they need for everyday tasks like writing, cutting, buttoning, zipping and using classroom materials. These skills create an important foundation for future learning and independence. ✂️🖍️🧩

The ISD 88 Foundation supports educational enhancements across all levels of education—from early childhood through high school graduation.
