An enormous thank you to Harrison's Bird Foods and the Parrot Posse for the gift of HOPP. It sure helps keeping the cockatiels fed, happy, and healthy!

This is Briza, a starling that came I yesterday evening. Doing well, eating great, no signs of external parasites.

Sugar had her vet appointment yesterday to check on her heart, and her general health. I saw that her abdomen was swollen and I was expecting an egg. While she was sitting on my shoulder as I spoke with the veterinarian, she laid her egg! Well, half of it anyway. The second half came out a few seconds later. I'd never seen an egg like it: it was coated in a layer of white slimy stuff on top of the thin shell. Sorry, no photo.

Echo enjoying fresh broccoli. It's always a joy when you find that a "new" bird likes healthy foods.
