Minnesota's Waterfalls of North Shore Drive Road Trip takes you to see ten incredible waterfalls along 91 miles of the scenic Highway 61, known as "North Shore Drive, just beside beautiful Lake Superior:

Beaver River Falls is an easy roadside stop in Beaver Bay, while Cascade Falls rushes through a deep rocky gorge carved into ancient lava. At Gooseberry Falls State Park, you can see the famous Upper, Middle, and Lower Falls as the Gooseberry River drops 240 feet on its way toward Lake Superior. Illgen Falls makes a powerful 40-foot plunge along the Baptism River, while nearby Caribou Falls waits at the end of a short forest hike. The 63-foot High Falls at Tettegouche State Park is another huge highlight. Glenn Avon Falls spreads across a wide section of the Beaver River, and Cross River Falls tumbles right beneath Highway 61 in Schroeder. Hidden Falls sits inside the narrow Temperance River gorge and can be reached by a short paved path. Finish near Grand Marais at Fall River Waterfall, just before the river meets Lake Superior. With only about two hours of driving, you’ll have plenty of time for trails, overlooks, and photos.
