New Ulm Youth Tennis hosted a fast paced, fun opportunity for kids to try tennis for the first time or work on skills if they already know the game! Held during the week of August 11th, this FREE camp for kids ages 5-12 is spearheaded by Amber & Darrin Collins.

The popular annual summer camp sponsored by Nuvera and the New Ulm Tennis Association (NUTA), quickly filled to capacity at 40 attendees and had a talented group of 10 volunteer instructors.

A big thank you to all the sponsors & voulnteers who helped make this possible! We love seeing youth in our community embrace the game of tennis! 👏🎾

9:00 am tournament START time (arrive earlier to warm up)

Pay on-site August 16th by 8:40 am
Fee: $10 per player
Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winning teams!

Very exciting news from the Park and Rec- youth tennis lessons will be available soon! 🎾🎾🎾

We're so excited to offer youth tennis this fall!
Join us for this 4 week session of youth tennis that will focus on the fundamentals and build upon the basics in a fun environment.

We are able to offer this new program thanks to a grant from USTA that helped us get brand new equipment and our new coaches who are very excited to share their knowledge! We plan to continue to promote the game of tennis in New Ulm with more youth tennis programs coming this winter. Those details will be out in the next brochure!

23rd Annual Doubles Tournament!

After a two-week rain delay, the weather was perfect for the New Ulm Tennis Association’s 23rd annual doubles tournament Sunday, August 20th, sponsored by NUVERA & the NUTA. It was a great day for local tennis players to showcase their talents on the MLC courts and provided competitive play and a lot of fun for the fans watching as well. The round robin format allowed each team to compete against one another throughout the afternoon. Earning first place was the doubles team of Daniel Brownfield & Charlie Weidman, second place went to Joey Kotten & Ethan Neet and third place winners were Mike & Sarah Kunard. The NUTA meets every Tuesday & Thursday from 6 – 8 & Saturdays from 8-10 at the MLC courts. For more information find us on Facebook: New Ulm Tennis Association.
