Today, December 2, 2025, is — a day when communities around the world come together to give back. Last year, supporters across the U.S. gave more than $3.6 billion to causes close to their hearts.

This year, we invite you to join The Monroe Foundation NY in making a difference for students who need it most. Our gap‑funding scholarships of $1,000–$5,000 empower underserved, urban, and first‑generation students to stay enrolled and complete their degrees. In 2025 alone, thanks to our donors, we awarded 110 scholarships to students across the country.

The need continues to grow, and we cannot do this work without you. Every gift, no matter the size, opens doors and creates opportunities.

Last week, we hosted our 3rd Friends of the Foundation Breakfast—a heartfelt morning dedicated to celebrating some of our incredible supporters and partners. The room was filled with warmth as we welcomed a few of our Monroe Foundation Scholars, including one who gave an unforgettable testimonial that reminded us why we do what we do.

We were honored to have our Mayor Yadira Ramos-Herbert of New Rochelle join us and share inspiring words with our scholars. Her presence and encouragement were a true highlight of the morning. Especially as she took time to take pictures with our scholars.

The vibe? Cozy, uplifting, and full of gratitude. Thank you to everyone who made it so memorable, including the management team at The Dining Lab.

We’re still basking in the joy of our 2025 Cocktail Reception Fundraiser held in May! With 275 guests—including our scholarship recipients, loyal donors, and passionate supporters it was an evening filled with connection, celebration, and heart.
