The Inner Pup TIP is a prevention-based animal welfare nonprofit organization keeping pets where they belong - with their people! Please contact us to get more involved.

The Inner Pup provides low-income pet owners with affordable heartworm and flea prevention, vet assistance, dog training vouchers, responsible pet parenting education and resources, as well as other financial support in the New Orleans area. The Inner Pup is a 501c3 non-profit organization. We rely solely on donations and volunteers to sustain our programs.

Bentley got his graduation certificate this summer, he's HEARTWORM NEGATIVE!
What makes us happiest isn't just Bentley's success, it's knowing about his mom's journey too. When she got Bentley as a gift, she didn't know dogs needed vaccines, heartworm prevention, or regular vet care.
The way she walked in carrying him last night, all snuggled up in her arms, you could tell she can't imagine life without him.
We're so proud of both of them.

Sometimes we think we’re rescuing a dog, but they end up rescuing us.
When Dobbie’s owner welcomed her into the family, the goal was to give Dobbie a better life. What she didn’t expect was how much better Dobbie would make her life, and her mom’s, too. The love, laughter, and companionship Dobbie brings every day are priceless.

Does your dog need Heartworm prevention and did you miss our last Heartworm & Flea Prevention Clinic?

We are hosting a special make-up clinic on June 18th from 12 – 3:45pm at The New Orleans Healing Center. To attend this clinic, you MUST get a heartworm test from one of our partners ($15 - NOLA Animal Clinic 4554 Downman, walk-in 8 -2; or AllStar Animal Clinic 2800 Orleans, appointment needed) and bring test results and your dog to the June 18th clinic. No exceptions.

$50: 12-month ProHeart12 injection + 6 months flea prevention

Pricing for Large Dogs - ProHeart is a weight-based injection: ProHeart prices are for dogs weighing 79.9 lbs and under, dogs 80+ lbs will be charged $80
Prevention for dogs under 12months old - ProHeart12 is only approved for dogs 12 months or older - we will provide dogs less than 12 months old with an age-appropriate alternative.
