Culinary education can introduce young people to new possibilities and opportunities for their future. đź’š

While attending Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington (GLOW), Akira discovered a passion for the culinary arts through the Emeril Lagasse Foundation Culinary Arts Lab, where she developed the skills to pursue her dreams further.

Her experience at GLOW helped prepare her to earn a competitive international culinary scholarship to study in Normandy, France—an opportunity that is helping launch her career.

Aarón y Amigos returns to Phoenix Sept. 18–19. 🌵

Hosted by Chef Aarón Sánchez, the weekend brings chefs and supporters together to create opportunities for Latino youth through food.

Proceeds benefit the Aarón Sánchez Impact Fund, a program of Emeril Lagasse Foundation. Through culinary education and continued mentorship, the program helps young people develop skills that support future careers.

Emeril’s Culinary Garden & Teaching Kitchen is growing. 🌱

With two new school partners joining in 2026, our signature program will now reach more than 4,800 students annually across nine school communities nationwide.

Through hands-on garden and kitchen experiences, students grow, cook, taste and learn while building confidence, developing practical skills and making meaningful connections between food and the classroom.

Each school represents a long-term investment in students, educators and communities—and another opportunity to help young people reach their full potential.

Emeril Lagasse Foundation is proud to announce Larkdale Elementary School in Lauderhill, Florida, as our newest Emeril's Culinary Garden & Teaching Kitchen school partner.

Made possible through the generous support of the Humana Foundation, this investment will bring hands-on culinary, garden, and nutrition education to students in Broward County, giving young people and their families a direct connection to food, learning, and community.

Together with Humana Foundation, Broward Education Foundation, and Broward County Public Schools, we're excited to bring this opportunity to Larkdale students.

Young people need opportunities to learn and grow. They also need reliable access to food and safe places to turn for support.

Through our Community Grants program, Emeril Lagasse Foundation invests in nonprofit organizations helping meet those needs. Our most recent Community Grant beneficiaries include:

đź’š Covenant House New Orleans provides meals and a safe place to stay for young people experiencing homelessness.
đź’š Emerald Coast Children's Advocacy Center supports children affected by abuse and helps families address urgent needs.
đź’š LRA Education Foundation expands access to ProStart culinary education and career preparation.
đź’š Second Harvest Food Bank - Feeding South Louisiana provides nutritious meals for children during the summer and after school.

When school cafeterias close for summer, children still need reliable access to nutritious meals.

Our team recently spent an afternoon volunteering in Second Harvest Food Bank’s Reily Foods Community Kitchen, helping plate and pack meals for children participating in the Summer Feeding Program.

Emeril Lagasse Foundation is proud to support Second Harvest Food Bank - Feeding South Louisiana through our Community Grants program, helping expand access to meals for children through its Summer Feeding and Kids Café programs. Together, we expect to provide 375,000 meals and snacks to 7,500 children during the summer and after school.

We’re grateful to see this important work in action! 🍽️
