💙 Last month, EPNO alumni and prospective members came together for a summer social to connect, learn, and celebrate the power of community-driven philanthropy.

Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans (EPNO) brings together individuals who want to make a difference in Greater New Orleans through collective giving, community engagement, and nonprofit support.

Through this six-month program, participants gain hands-on experience in grantmaking, connect with local leaders, visit nonprofits, and build meaningful relationships with fellow changemakers.

🌿💙 Join Sankofa Community Development Corporation's STEM Second Saturday on June 13 for a morning of nature, STEM activities, and family fun at Sankofa Wetland Park & Nature Trail.

💙 Following months of public input, community conversations, and collaboration with victims’ families and local leaders, plans for a memorial honoring the victims and survivors of the 2025 New Year’s Day terrorist attack were presented last month at the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s Center for Philanthropy.

The proposed memorial would create a dedicated space for remembrance, reflection, and healing while honoring the lives impacted by this tragedy.

In 2025, the Greater New Orleans Foundation helped lead a $3.1 million relief effort — made possible by more than 2,500 donors — to directly support victims and their families during an incredibly difficult time for our community.

💙 Strong partnerships create stronger nonprofits, and stronger communities.

The Greater New Orleans Foundation joined local leaders and partners to celebrate the merger of Friends of the New Orleans Public Library and the New Orleans Public Library Foundation, now united as the Library Foundation of New Orleans. 📚

Supported through the Foundation’s Strategic Restructuring and Mergers Fund, this partnership will help strengthen fundraising efforts, streamline operations, and expand long-term support for the New Orleans Public Library and the communities it serves.

💙 Real workforce impact happens through collaboration.

The Construction Sector Partnership, convened by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, recently brought together construction companies, training providers, and workforce partners for a successful Interview Day connecting trainees directly to careers in construction. 🔨

Nearly 60% of participants have already received job offers or are continuing in the hiring process — creating real pathways to opportunity across our region.
