The Center for Youth Political Participation at Rutgers University celebrates and supports political learning and engagement among young people

The quality of our democracy is based in large part on the education youth receive in citizenship. Through research, public service, and educational programs, CYPP is dedicated to exploring civic education at the high school level and political participation among young adults.

The final RU Ready Civics Fair is in the books for the 2025-2026 school year 👏

The program reached over 2,000 middle and high school students this winter and spring, with 5 new partner districts added.

With an active primary season in NJ this year, RU Voting has you covered with everything you need to vote on or by June 2nd! 🇺🇸🗳️

In order to vote in this election, you must be registered with a party affiliation. If you need to declare a party affiliation, you can do so up until the Primary Election Day. If you are a graduating senior and are currently registered to vote on campus, be sure to update your voter registration to a new address by Tuesday at 11:59pm. This past Friday, the RU Ready team hosted a second Young Leaders Conference for Union High School & New Brunswick HS students 🏛️📚🗳️

The full-day conference on the campus brought together RU Ready Interns, Darien Civic Engagement Project students, and students from and .zebras and New Brunswick High School, as they addressed the fictional scenario of limiting free speech for high schoolers outside of school property.

New RU Voting Summer Opportunity 😎🌞🗳️

Volunteer as a RU Voting Ambassador!

Ambassadors will support voter registration and mobilization of incoming first years and transfer students during the New Student Orientation Resource Fairs. Open to all undergraduate students but must be available to attend at least 4 in-person events between the weeks June 22nd and August 7th on Busch Campus.
