Dance New Jersey is partnering with NJPAC to bring family-friendly dance performances to their August movie nights! 🌟

As each night's performances will be themed, we are seeking performances by artists working in African diasporic dance forms, Hip-Hop and Street styles, and Latin dance forms. Performances will take place outdoors at Chambers Plaza, and may include audience engagement activities.

DNJ is seeking to partner with studios throughout the state of NJ to offer the Sunday Salon Series again this fall — our newest initiative designed to help emerging dance artists develop and show new works! ✨

Studio partners will offer emerging artists rehearsal space and host an in-studio performance that will be produced by DNJ. Each performance will feature up to five performing groups and take place in a relaxed salon environment in which patrons are invited for an up close view into the creative process. Artists and studios will be matched by region and date availability.

As we approach the close of our fiscal year on June 30, Dance New Jersey is working to raise $5,000 to help bridge a critical budget gap and sustain the programs and services our statewide dance community depends on.

Rising operational costs continue to impact nonprofit arts organizations across the state, yet the need for connection, advocacy, professional development, and visibility for dance artists has never been greater. Despite the rising cost of doing business, Dance New Jersey has increased opportunity creation this year and we intend to continue in this growth mentality to meet the evolving needs of our NJ dance community.
