🎄 Tomorrow is the last day to nominate someone for Holiday Wishes! ❤️

Every year, Holiday Wishes gives our community the opportunity to come together for local families and individuals who are facing a difficult time. United Way of Greater New Bedford, FUN 107 & 1420 WBSM are proud to once again work together to bring a little extra hope and joy to the holiday season.

Last year, we introduced you to 7-year-old Jaziah, who was unexpectly diagnosed with leukemia.
Jaziah and his mom began traveling to Boston several times a week for treatment. We were able to take some of the burden off the family by covering medical bills, specialty items to keep Jaziah distracted during treatment, and so much more. ❤️

Stories like Jaziah’s remind us how much a little kindness can mean during a difficult time.

There may be someone in your life who could use that same kindness this year. Maybe it’s a neighbor, a friend, a family member, or someone who has quietly been facing a difficult year.

If someone comes to mind, there’s still time to nominate them.

This group will create a relaxed, judgment-free space to talk about healthy friendships and relationships, setting boundaries, handling peer pressure, social media safety, confidence, and self-respect.

There’s just one week left to nominate someone for Holiday Wishes.

Every year, we hear stories of local families who have faced challenges they never expected. And sometimes, a nomination can be the first step toward making a difficult holiday season a little brighter.

Last year, for example, Poholek Family was nominated after Chis was diagnosed with end-stage renial failure. What they needed most wasn’t just financial support. It was a reminder that their community saw them, cared about them, and was there to help - and that came through loud and clear to him and his family.

That’s what Holiday Wishes is all about.

United Way of Greater New Bedford, FUN 107 & 1420 WBSM are once again coming together to support local families and individuals facing extraordinary circumstances.
