Back in January, I got a call from Memphis Animal Services at 7:45am. They said they had a dog they really didn’t want to euthanize, his deadline was 7am, and he was next to go to the room. There was absolutely no way I was going to let him go into that room and without thinking twice I agreed to taking him ! That sweet boy is Arlington! Little did I know when I agreed to take him, he was heart worm positive and would need a five month treatment to save his life and make him healthy enough to be adopted! His incredible doctor Jess Gomez performed the treatment and by the end of May, he was ready to find his forever family, but no one came. Arlington moved from foster homes, to hanging back at me with the kennel, and the entire time this boy never lost his sweet, loving everyone he met demeanor, he was the perfect boy. Last week, I was sitting going through emails and got a notification that an adoption application, I looked to see who it was for, and it was finally Arlington’s turn to go home! A couple phone calls, a vet visit for a health certificate, transport to CT, a weekend stay with Kristy Sevag and the next thing Arlington knew it was Monday morning and his forever family was coming all the way from New Hampshire to bring him home for good 🩵 The long ten month wait was worth it buddy, you are home now, thank you to everyone the was a small piece of his journey! Happy tails Arlington, your smile says it all 🐾
