Owning forestland comes with opportunities — but also responsibilities! From invasive species and storm damage to regeneration and forest health, small decisions today can impact your woods for generations.

Whether your goals are wildlife, recreation, timber, or simply taking care of your property, a forester can help you understand what’s happening on your land and what options are available to you.

Healthy forests don’t happen by accident 🌳

These tires aren’t just for looks! This family crew — Crews Logging — is out clearing ice storm-damaged pine in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

The hills get a whole lot steeper than this. We sure are glad for powerful skidders and skilled equipment operators behind the wheel.

Tulip poplar is Tennessee’s state tree, and it’s fully bloomed right now — but not for long.

The flowers sit high in the canopy, so they’re easy to miss, especially since poplar is one of the tallest native hardwoods.

The blooms won’t last much longer. If you’re out in the woods or around town, take a look up while you still can!

Wood is beautiful! Caley walked us through some of the unique qualities of this Tennessee hardwood. What many call bird’s eye maple has distinct, swirling patterns that make each board unique.

We were blown away by the lumber and showroom at Good Wood Nashville. 🪵
