Dreams and Wishes of Tennessee Dreams and Wishes of TN grants wishes to kids that have relapsed from cancer. We also grant wishes to young adults with a new cancer diagnosis.

Meet 9-year-old Maryiah from Jackson, TN.
Maryiah was born with only half of a heart and received a heart transplant in 2020 at just 2 years old. While her new heart is doing well, she later developed Stage 3–4 PTLD, a serious side effect related to her transplant that spread into her lymphatic system. After undergoing very strong chemotherapy, her recent scans have looked encouraging and she will have more scans in July.

Maryiah love being outside, and she wished for a backyard playset with a slide and climbing wall!

Maryiah’s wish recently came true thanks to our friends at Washtopia.

Adam was invited back to the airport today for another incredible experience. This time to check out the Southwest Airlines area!

He was able to sit in the cockpit of a plane, START UP THE ENGINE, and even play with a few of the buttons. To say he loved it would be an understatement!! This young man was truly in his element.

A huge thank you to Bryan for inviting us back and making this experience possible, and to Tim for giving Adam such an amazing tour!

Captain Jason, Southwest’s Assistant Chief Pilot, gave Adam an actual yoke from a retired airplane! Adam told me that he wanted to scream when Captain Jason handed it to him because he was so excited. I’m pretty sure that is something he will treasure forever. He hopes he can integrate it into his simulator.

The final surprise of the day was Adam receiving his new computer for his upgraded flight simulator! After spending more than 5000 hours flying on his simulator, this was the perfect ending to an incredible day.

Watching Adam experience all of this has been so much fun. His love for aviation is undeniable, and seeing that huge smile on his face is exactly why we do what we do at Dreams and Wishes of Tennessee.

Eighteen-year-old Adam loves airplanes. His dream is to become a pilot one day, or at least have some type of career working at the airport. When I say this kid loves flying, I mean it…he has logged more than 5000 flight hours on his simulator!

Thanks to our friends Andrea and Marc, we were able to surprise Adam today with a little ride above the clouds! He had absolutely NO idea what we had planned for him.

After we landed, Adam got to spend some time talking with a few guys who are finishing up flight school. Then we headed over to the control tower at BNA for a behind-the-scenes tour!

Y’all…the control tower is every bit as cool as you would imagine. The view from up there is absolutely incredible! We also got to see another area that is completely dark except for rows of computer screens showing all of the planes in the air. You can even see planes in surrounding states that will be landing at BNA.

Bryan was our tour guide at the tower and did a great job showing us around and explaining everything. He also invited us back next week for another super cool tour! Stay tuned for that one.

A HUGE thank you to Andrea and Marc for helping make today happen, to the generous plane owner for allowing Adam to experience a flight in your airplane, and to both pilots who took time out of their day to fly with us and make Adam feel so welcome. And thank you, Bryan, for the tour of the tower.

Days like today are exactly why we love what we do. Sometimes a dream begins with one unforgettable experience—and who knows where this one might take Adam.

All in all, it was a GREAT day!

Y’all!!! What an AMAZING day with Dutch Bros Coffee for Buck for Kids.

Lots of you guys came out to show your support today, and soooo many of you have been buying our stickers! We LOVE it, and we appreciate every single one of you more than you know!

I love that the Dutch Bros baristas went ALL OUT today, check out some of these pictures! A couple of our wish kids were even able to stop by their local store to meet everyone.

The money raised today will help us grant wishes for Alli and Adam. I cannot wait for the day their wishes come true and we get to share those pictures with y’all.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who made a purchase today, bought stickers, shared our posts, or simply helped spread the word.

Thank you to the Dutch Bros operators for choosing to support Dreams and Wishes of Tennessee and to all of the incredible baristas and employees who took the extra time to hand out our stickers and make today so much fun.
