Kesem at Vanderbilt University Kesem at Vanderbilt supports children through and beyond a parent’s cancer in Tennessee Kesem operates at more than 130 chapters coast-to-coast.

Kesem is a diverse community led by passionate and empathetic college students working to ensure that children facing the challenges of a parent’s cancer have space, connection, and support to rediscover the joys of childhood. Our mission is to support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community. Camp Kesem at Vanderbilt Univers

ity was founded in 2012 and supports children in the Tennessee community by providing Camp Kesem, a free week-long summer camp experience, and year-round Through and Beyond support services. Our chapter is operated by 150 student volunteers and serves 100+ campers ages 6-18 per year. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We’re looking for caring, compassionate nurses and mental health professionals to join our Health & Wellness Team at Camp Kesem this summer (May 25-30). These incredible volunteers help ensure a safe, supportive, and joy-filled camp experience for children facing a parent’s cancer, while also highlighting the magic, fun, and connection that make Kesem so special 💙
