Our latest blog features a favorite recipe from Fogg Café: Caribbean Shrimp Tacos topped with fresh mango pico de gallo and a sweet chili sauce. Bright, flavorful, and easy to make, it's the perfect dish for summer gatherings.

This weekend, celebrate our most flavorful time of year at Tasting the Tropics, June 27 & 28. Sample fruits from around the world, enjoy live demonstrations, browse a plant sale featuring tropical fruiting plants, and discover the stories behind some of your favorite tropical treats. 🌴🍍

🌴 You may know it as a houseplant, but have you seen one at full size?

Beaucarnea recurvata, commonly known as the ponytail palm, is a favorite for homes and offices thanks to its low-maintenance nature and distinctive tuft of cascading leaves. But when grown in the landscape, this plant can develop a large, swollen trunk and reach impressive heights. ✨

Native to Mexico, the ponytail palm stores water in its bulbous base, helping it thrive through dry conditions. The next time you're in the Garden, take a closer look; you may be surprised by how many familiar houseplants you can find growing in the landscape. 🌿
