Project HELP, Inc. We help victims become survivors. We help from victimization through prosecution.

Since 1986, Project Help, a non-profit agency, has been providing hope, empowerment and healing in Collier County by offering free and confidential services to all victims of crime. Project Help has been in Collier County for over 35 years offering free and confidential services to victims of crime, sexual assault, sudden death, homicide and suicide.

Healing begins with knowing you’re not alone. 💙

We’re grateful to the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation for investing $7,500 in Project HELP’s work with young survivors of sexual violence in Collier County. Through our Safe Futures initiative, this grant will help children and teens access compassionate care at no cost as they heal and build resilience.

Sometimes taking care of your mental health looks like talking to someone. Sometimes it looks like setting a boundary, taking a break, asking for help, or simply giving yourself permission to not be okay.

Mental health affects how we experience the world, connect with others, and navigate difficult moments. And just like our physical health, it deserves attention before we reach a breaking point.

This World Mental Health Day, let’s make space for honest conversations, compassion, and support. There is no “right” time to ask for help, and you never have to have the perfect words to start the conversation.

Supporting survivors starts with compassion. Listen without judgment, respect their choices, believe their experiences, and give them space to heal in their own way.🩵

You can also make a difference beyond the conversation. Consider donating, volunteering, or getting involved with your local r**e crisis center to help ensure survivors have access to support when they need it most.

At Project HELP, each survivor who receives a forensic exam is provided with a care kit filled with thoughtful items meant to offer a little comfort during an incredibly difficult time. From cozy socks and tea to journals, self-care items, fidgets, Hope Bracelets, and more, every item is chosen with care.

We are incredibly grateful to the businesses, organizations, and community members who have donated items and helped us make these kits possible. Your generosity allows us to provide more than resources, it allows us to offer a small moment of comfort when it is needed most.

Ensuring Survivors Have Access to Care—24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week🩵

Project HELP is incredibly grateful to the Collier Community Foundation for a generous $70,000 grant supporting our Sexual Assault Forensic Exam Program.
When someone experiences sexual violence, access to compassionate, specialized care should never depend on the time of day, their ability to pay, or whether they know where to turn.

Through Project HELP’s Sexual Assault Forensic Exam Program, survivors in Collier County have access to 24/7, no-cost, trauma-informed forensic medical care and evidence collection.

Specially trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs), alongside our advocates, provide timely care, crisis support, information, and options while helping survivors maintain choice and
control throughout the process.

This funding helps Project HELP preserve critical evidence, reduce barriers to care, connect survivors with ongoing advocacy and healing services, and strengthen our community’s coordinated response to sexual violence.

We are deeply grateful to the Collier Community Foundation for investing in this critical work and helping ensure that when a survivor needs us, Project HELP is here.🩵
