Join Co-founder of Dot Wines Lise Asimont during Vine & Voices Behind the Scenes series Napa Valley College

With over thirty years in the wine industry, Lise brings with her a wealth of knowledge and a passion for “vineyard winemaking” - wines that represent the vineyard in the bottle. She has held positions at high-level wineries throughout the Valley, including Francis Coppola Winery, Cakebread Cellars, and Foley Family Farms, where she still serves as Senior Vice President and Operational Head.

Dot Wine was founded after Lise’s husband Shawn dared her to make her own Pinot Noir when he had not been able to find one Lise loved. Lise took him up on his challenge. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the label, which produces Pinots as well as Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel, Rose, and a sparkling Brut. Having been both a viticulturist and winemaker, Lise has a well-rounded perspective that is sure to make this tasting a unique experience and a treat for any wine enthusiast.

Lisa will guide a curated flight of Greek wines — from crisp Assyrtiko to velvety Agiorgitiko — sharing stories of terroir, tradition, and the people shaping modern Hellenic winemaking and the impressive lineup of indigenous Greek varieties not grown anywhere but Greece!
Expect lively tasting notes, practical pairing tips, and the warm company of fellow wine lovers.
Her 6 wines will feature leading and quite different regions of Greece......Nemea, Macedonia, Crete, Santorini.

Presenting “Forest Terroir: How Oak Origin Shapes Wine”

Join us for a guided tasting exploring how oak origin shapes aroma, texture, and wine style.

For the wines, we will start with one Grand Cru Champagne as a welcome wine, followed by five Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noirs: one control aged in neutral oak, and four wines aged with unique forest origins.

Bio: Glycine Bonneville-Jiang is a winemaker and the R&D scientist at Cooperages 1912. With experience in Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Napa Valley winemaking, as well as PhD research in wine microbiology and sensory science at Cornell University, she brings together science, sensory exploration, and the craft of winemaking. Her work focuses on how oak origin, toasting, and Ă©levage shape aroma, texture, and wine style.
