We're still smiling after our Summer Mixer at Clif Family Winery. Thank you to everyone who came out to spend the evening with us, connect with fellow animal lovers, and support Napa Humane.

Thereโ€™s a whole lot of love behind the care we provide. ๐Ÿงก

We know that leaving your pet in someone elseโ€™s hands can be hard. But if your pet is spending time with our clinic team, you can be pretty sure theyโ€™re getting plenty of extra love and attention along the way.

Sometimes that means a reassuring scratch, a little extra snuggle, or apparently letting a patient get this close. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Because caring for our patients means more than providing great veterinary care. We want them to feel safe and cared for while theyโ€™re with us, too.

And honestly, we wouldnโ€™t have it any other way. ๐Ÿพ

Meet CAT, our August calendar star!

When CAT joined his family in 2023, he was seven years old and had already lived in two different homes. His new family had been without a cat since losing their beloved orange tabby, Garfield, and when CAT came along, they knew it was time.

Today, CAT is very much at home. โค๏ธ

He spends his days napping wherever he pleases, watching birds in the backyard, hanging out with the family during TV time, and offering nose-to-nose affection when the mood strikes. He also has some strong opinions about scratching the carpet instead of his scratching posts.

CATโ€™s family appreciates Napa Humane for providing services at fair, accessible prices and helping make essential care available to more pets and the people who love them.

We love getting to work with the next generation of animal lovers!

Recently, three students from New Tech High School completed internships with Napa Humaneโ€™s Dog Training program, lending some very welcome extra hands to our growing program.

They helped our team with everything from setting up and breaking down our different training spaces to supporting classes and activities along the way.

Of course, not every internship assignment was hard work. As you can see, helping out at Puppy Playdate came with some pretty adorable benefits. ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฅฐ

Weโ€™re grateful to these students for jumping in and helping wherever they were needed, and to New Tech High School for connecting students with opportunities to learn and contribute right here in our community.

Earlier this month, ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ’ ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ participated in Napa Humane's Festival de la Mascota, connecting Napa County families with accessible veterinary care, resources, and support for their pets.

So far, that care has included:

That's the kind of community we hope to build: one where families can access compassionate care without judgment, pets get what they need to stay healthy, and people who have been supported feel inspired to help someone else.
