Thank you to Live Healthy Napa County for creating intentional space to center LGBTQ+ inclusion, belonging, and community health in Napa County.

We’re grateful to have had the opportunity for LGBTQ Connection Napa to share their Oasis Youth Model with LHNC members and partners. The Oasis Model is rooted in the belief that LGBTQ+ young people deserve affirming relationships, community connection, visibility, safety, and opportunities to lead as their full authentic selves.

Special thanks to Kylee Dalton, Queer-Trans AFFIRM Project Coordinator, for representing this work and helping lead such a valuable conversation.

Last week, local leaders, advocates, and community members gathered in Napa for an important conversation on immigration enforcement, coordinated community response, and how we can best support families navigating uncertainty.

On The Move was honored to be represented by Adrian Maldonado, Director of our Community Leaders Coalition, a program dedicated to advancing racial equity, community healing, and resident-led solutions. Adrian emphasized that collaboration is essential to supporting Napa’s immigrant communities and building long-term resilience.

Through programs like the Community Leaders Coalition, we’re proud to walk alongside emerging leaders, parents, and residents who are shaping a more just and connected Napa, rooted in dignity, equity, and care.

We’re grateful to stand in partnership with others committed to ensuring that all families in Napa feel seen, supported, and safe.

Amid immigration enforcement fears, Napa leaders and advocates gathered to share legal guidance, health support and education strategies, emphasizing collaboration, solidarity and resilience to protect immigrant families in a harsher political climate.

On The Move is honored to support our partners at North Bay Rapid Response Network in training a new wave of legal observers across Napa County.

Legal observers are not law enforcement. They’re community members trained to document, de-escalate, and protect dignity when immigration enforcement is present. You don’t need legal expertise, just a commitment to justice, safety, and showing up.

Upcoming Trainings:

📍 Napa — Tuesday, February 3rd, 6:00–8:30 PM
📍 Calistoga — Saturday, February 28th, 12:00–2:30 PM

Register for the Napa training at tinyurl.com/napa-feb3
Register for the Calistoga training at tinyurl.com/calistoga-feb28

The locations will be shared shortly before the event and only with people who are registered.

Thank you to Pastor Stephanie and the congregation of Napa Valley Lutheran Church for your generous gift card donation in support of VOICES Youth Programs.

Your support helps ensure young people have access to everyday necessities and reminds them they are seen, valued, and supported by their community. We’re deeply grateful for your partnership and for the way you continue to show up.

Together, we keep our community moving.

🎁🎁🎁

Juntes, seguimos impulsando a nuestra comunidad.

Youth homelessness in California dropped 24% from 2019–2024 — even as homelessness rose 24% statewide and youth homelessness increased 11% nationwide. This progress shows how California’s focused, youth-centered strategies are turning the tide and creating real pathways to stability for young people.
