📊 Napa County's Nonprofit Landscape: A Community Conversation

Federal and state funding cuts have stretched our local nonprofit sector thin — even as demand for services has never been higher. To understand where things stand, NVCF has commissioned the only comprehensive landscape scan of Napa County's nonprofit sector in more than 20 years.

🗓️ Thursday, June 18, 2026
⏰ 9:30–11:00 a.m. | Doors open at 9:00 a.m.
📍 Yountville Community Center, 6516 Washington St.

Join NVCF President & CEO Terence Mulligan and Chief Impact Officer Julia DeNatale as they walk through the findings — and what they mean for our community going forward. There will be time for questions and discussion.

Climate science, up close.

Join us for an evening with Drew Isaacs — UC Berkeley professor, geochemist, former NASA scientist, and our Napa neighbor — for a grounded look at what the data really tells us about our changing climate.

Drew will walk us through 200+ years of climate research, where things stand today, and what the trends mean for the road ahead. Bring your questions — a curated Q&A will guide the conversation, with an optional social gathering to follow.

Two dates, same format. Pick what works:

🌿 Thursday, May 21 | 4–6 pm
🌿 Thursday, May 28 | 4–6 pm

Seating is limited to 30 per session. RSVP: https://www.napavalleycf.org/events/

In 2012, NVCF released a landmark immigration study revealing that thousands of eligible residents had not yet taken the step toward U.S. citizenship, largely due to a lack of affordable legal services. That finding launched our One Napa Valley Initiative, which has helped more than 2,600 community members become citizens.

We’re teaming up with Migration Policy Institute, the nonpartisan think tank that authored our 2012 report, to help us understand what’s changed – and what has remained the same – since then.

At this Common Ground event, we'll share key findings from MPI’s forthcoming 2026 Napa County immigration study and explore what the data means for our community, our workforce, and our collective future.

📆When: May 7, 2026 | 5:30-6:30 pm

------

Climate change is underway, and the science is refined enough that we can predict reasonably well what lies ahead for our community. But what does that mean for you?

Join NVCF for a free Common Ground civic learning event, “Climate Change: What the Science Is Telling Us, and What It Means for Napa in the Years Ahead.” Climate educator and UC Berkeley professor Andrew Isaacs will break down climate science, its implications for Napa Valley, and practical resilience strategies you can start using now.

Please note our program will run for 90 minutes instead of 60 minutes.
