VINE TRAIL--an in-progress 47-mile HIKING/ BIKING trail connecting Napa Valley (Vallejo to Calistoga) with a safe scenic TRAIL FOR ALL www.VineTrail.org

In 2008, the Napa Valley Vintners, the Napa valley Grapegrowers and the Land Trust founded the Vine Trail Coalition, with vintner Chuck McMinn, owner of Vineyard 29, serving as President. The board has grown to a strong alliance of governmental, business, agricultural, health, and environmental interests. Shawn Casey-White is the current Executive Director.

🍇 Harvest may be over, but Ag Respect is always in season!

Another Napa Valley harvest is officially in the books! Did you spot any Ag Respect signs along the Vine Trail this harvest?

Through our Ag Respect program, these signs help keep trail users informed and safe when nearby farming activities are taking place. Remember to keep an eye out for posted signs and respect our agricultural neighbors.

We're all sharing this beautiful valley, and a little respect goes a long way!

On October 4, our community came together along the Napa Valley Vine Trail to celebrate and honor the life and legacy of Mark Lucas. 🧡

It was a meaningful gathering filled with stories, memories, and appreciation for someone who made a lasting impact on our community and the Vine Trail.

The Vine Trail is about so much more than connecting places. It's about connecting people, building community, and creating something that will be enjoyed for generations to come.

We are grateful to everyone who joined in for this special dedication and helped honor Mark's legacy. His impact will continue to be felt along the trail for years to come.

One of the best ways to experience Visit Napa Valley is on two wheels.

Every great trail has great people behind it!

Meet Napa’s very own “Trash Man” and “Litter Lady,” two community members and trail champions helping keep the Napa Valley Vine Trail clean, safer, and beautiful for everyone who enjoys it!

It’s people like these who remind us that the Vine Trail is so much more than a path connecting our communities. It’s a place we all share, care for, and take pride in.

A little teamwork goes a long way! 🌿🧡

A big THANK YOU to the incredible team at our Napa Whole Foods Market for spending their morning giving back to our community! Their crew rolled up their sleeves to help clean up a section of the Vine Trail in Napa and the neighboring railroad corridor, helping keep our shared spaces beautiful for everyone to enjoy.

Mark Lucas was a familiar and deeply valued presence in Napa Valley’s cycling community. If something bike-related was happening in the Napa Valley, chances are Mark was involved — volunteering his time, sharing his knowledge, advocating for safer trails, or helping others get involved.

Mark was one of the early members of the Napa Valley Vine Trail Coalition and went on to create and lead our Maintenance Committee for many years. As Vine Trail Ambassador and friend T.C. Hulsey shared, “Although many cyclists probably didn't know him, they are benefitting from his work.”

On October 4 at 2:30 PM, we invite our community to join us as we honor Mark’s life and lasting legacy with a special dedication on the Vine Trail Mile 28 on Webber Street in Yountville.
We hope you’ll join us in remembering someone who gave so much to cycling, the Vine Trail, and our community.

The Vine Trail is here because people in our community believed it was worth building.

Today, 33 miles give our neighbors a place to walk, ride, commute, spend time with family, or just get outside. There are still miles left to connect — and the trail we already have needs to be cared for along the way.
