In 2008, the Napa Valley Vintners, the Napa valley Grapegrowers and the Land Trust founded the Vine Trail Coalition, with vintner Chuck McMinn, owner of Vineyard 29, serving as President. The board has grown to a strong alliance of governmental, business, agricultural, health, and environmental interests. Shawn Casey-White is the current Executive Director.

Caring for the future of the Vine Trail starts long before the pavement is poured.

A big thank you to the team from Lewis Cellars for joining us in South Napa to help remove invasive yellow star thistle and stinkwort along the future route of the Napa Valley Vine Trail.

Spend this Wednesday enjoying Clif Family's Street Food menu, wine, live music on the patio, and the company of friends and family—all while giving back. 20% of all food and wine sales throughout the day will support Napa Valley Vine Trail as we continue our work to create more opportunities for people to experience Napa Valley by bike and on foot.

Planning a ride? Here's an update about the summer trail closures before you head out.

City of Napa
The Vine Trail will be closed intermittently between Trower Road and Wine Country Avenue in the City of Napa while PG&E completes emergency work. Intermittent closure will likely be in effect through August. Trail users may be diverted onto Solano Avenue while in effect.

Calistoga
The Vine Trail terminus, next to the Calistoga Vine Trail shelter, will be closed due to nearby construction through August. Trail users are encouraged to divert through the Ace Hardware parking lot, with caution for motorized vehicles, for the duration of the closure.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility as these projects are completed. We appreciate everyone helping keep the trail enjoyable for all by following posted detours and signage.
