Team Molly’s Angels had a wonderful time lending a hand with event setup alongside fellow nonprofits and attending the 34th Annual Hands Across the Valley gala! hands Across the Valley was founded in 1994 after George Altamura learned that the Napa Food Bank was running out of funds. Since then, the organization has raised more than $20 million to support food programs throughout Napa County.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that comes together to help ensure our neighbors have access to nutritious food—and proud to support an event that makes such an incredible impact year after year.

🎡 And that’s a wrap on year two of the Angels Express at the Napa Town & Country Fair! 🎠✨

This year, 20 older adults enjoyed a fun-filled day taking in all the fair festivities—and we’ve already received so many calls from participants sharing their gratitude and telling us what a wonderful time they had. 💛

A huge thank you to TeriLyn, our Director of Transportation & Administration, for making this outing possible, and to Marlen, our Angels Express Driver & Spanish Program Coordinator, for providing translation support and getting everyone there and home safely. Everyone had an absolute blast!

Since launching in spring 2025, the Angels Express has provided more than 1,550 trips for 565+ older adult riders, traveling over 5,170 miles to connect local seniors with group outings throughout our community. 🚐👼

The Angels Express van was made possible through the generous support of Health and Human Services Agency, Napa County, with logistical launch planning help by Leadership Napa Valley BOAT 37. We’re incredibly grateful for the partnerships that helped get the Angels Express on the road—and continue to make experiences like this possible for local older adults. 💛

We’re looking forward to spending the evening with our community from 5:00–8:00 PM. Enjoy delicious food trucks, local vendors, live music, classic cars, games, and fun for all ages.

The event will take place on W. American Canyon Road between James Road and Elliott Drive, including Northampton Park.

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight 🌟 Please join us in welcoming our newest Molly Cares volunteer, Igal! A resident of Solano County for the past six years, Igal brings a lifetime of leadership, service, and compassion. He has served in the military, worked in law enforcement, and built successful careers in business and healthcare. Before retiring, he owned and operated healthcare facilities and later ran an insurance brokerage specializing in Medicare and retirement planning. Igal speaks four languages—English, Russian, Ukrainian, and Hebrew—and has traveled extensively, visiting four continents and even living on a Pacific island. These days, he and his wife, a retired critical care registered nurse, enjoy exploring the United States in their RV. Now in retirement, Igal has chosen to give back by making weekly phone calls to local seniors, providing friendship and meaningful connection through our Molly Cares program. We're grateful to have him as part of Molly's Angels! 💙
