Happy Open Studios Eve! Tomorrow, studio doors open across Napa Valley, and we’re wrapping up our artist introductions with one final group before the weekend begins.

Pam Walton Pam Walton 📍 #35 A self-taught mixed-media artist, Pam works with handmade collage papers, acrylics and crayons to create intuitive abstracts influenced by psychology and spirituality.

Diane Pope Diane Pope 📍 #29 Inspired by Napa Valley and Lake Almanor, Diane paints birds, wildlife and landscapes in watercolor, pairing atmospheric backgrounds with beautifully detailed subjects.

Sunshine Moeschler Sunshine Moeschler 📍 #17 Napa-born Sunshine combines acrylics, oils and collage in joyful mixed-media work inspired by a lifelong love of making and experimenting.

Theresa Lawless Theresa Lawless 📍 #38 Theresa gives flowers a larger-than-life perspective, painting dramatic, lifelike blooms inspired by her garden, neighborhood walks and the Napa Valley.

Beverly Wilson Beverlyjwilson 📍 #37 Inspired by changing light, seasons and rural life, Beverly creates vibrant oil paintings rooted in her love of the countryside. She has lived and painted in Napa Valley since 1983.

Jenny Mann Jenny Mann 📍 26 After experiencing sudden hearing loss later in life, Jenny found a new way of connecting with the world through photography. Her Impressionist-inspired images explore resilience, presence and seeing with greater intention.

Vincent Connors Vincent Thomas Connors 📍 2 Vincent moves between painting, photography, sculpture and design, with Napa Valley’s landscape and w**e industry influencing his work. After losing his original studio in the 2017 Tubbs fire, he expanded into three-dimensional work using wood and metal, including materials collected from local vineyards.

As we approach opening weekend, it’s a fitting time to continue recognizing the local businesses helping bring Open Studios Napa Valley to life.

NAPCO Painting Contractors and Fine Finish Shop has been serving Napa and Sonoma for more than 30 years, building its reputation around skilled craftsmanship, attention to detail and good old-fashioned customer service.

There’s a shared appreciation for craft at the heart of what Napco does and what we celebrate during Open Studios. Behind the finished work are years of practice, patience and people who care deeply about what they do.

We are just DAYS away! Open Studios Napa Valley kicks off this Saturday, and we’re keeping the artist introductions coming right up until studio doors open.

Meet seven more artists we are excited for you to discover this weekend:

JoAnn Ortega 📍39 Open Studios’ only participating St. Helena artist, JoAnn paints outdoors, inspired by the landscape, light and natural beauty of Napa Valley. Her Spring Street studio also includes printmaking and a garden worth exploring.

Janice Peterson 📍35 From detailed realism to mixed media, Janice approaches art with curiosity and a willingness to experiment, creating work that leaves room for viewers to make their own connections.

Toni Hayashi Toni Hayashi 📍34 Toni works in pastel, acrylic and oil and is also a lifelong photographer, bringing an adventurous eye to both sides of her creative practice.

Thomas Ellis Jackson 📍35 Thomas creates expressive, story-driven work ranging from paintings of family and friends and pastel pet portraits to California-inspired pieces, abstracts and collage.

Sarah Brown Sarah Brown 📍12 Sarah creates ceramic vessels that blur the line between sculpture and function, with organic forms designed to be both beautiful and inviting to use.

Addie Harrold 📍16 Napa artist Addie Harrold works in acrylic on canvas. Stop by Studio #16 to see her work in person.

John Kasten 📍32 After a 35-year career in architecture, John now turns his creative eye toward painting, finding inspiration in Napa Valley landscapes and vineyards.

Come for the art. Stay out all day.

Open Studios is an excellent excuse to spend a weekend exploring Napa Valley, and we fully encourage making the most of every mile between studio stops.

A few ideas from us:
• Work up an appetite exploring, then grab lunch at Hop Creek  • Stop by the Napa Toy Museum while you’re making your way through downtown Napa • Head upvalley for a splash of w**e with our friends and Open Studios sponsor Raymond Vineyards  • Give the car a break and bike between stops using the Napa Valley Vine Trail  • Pick a part of the Open Studios map you’ve never explored and take the back roads to get there

There’s no right way to do Open Studios. Make a day of it, make it your own, and experience a different side of Napa Valley along the way.

📢 Spread the word! The first weekend of Open Studios kicks off in just 10 days, and we want to get this community event on the radar of as many locals and art lovers as possible.

Like, share, tag a friend, tell a neighbor, then come out and see it for yourself! Our artists have been working hard behind the scenes, getting their homes and studios ready to welcome you in and share what they’ve been creating.

Open Studios only happens two weekends a year, so help us make them count. Bring a friend, plan your route, discover an artist you didn’t know before, and show up for Napa Valley’s creative community.

A little behind-the-scenes look at something special coming together at Jessel Gallery. 👀

Established in 1984, Jessel Gallery has been a beloved part of the Napa Valley art community for more than 40 years, showcasing original art in a welcoming, unpretentious setting. We’re so grateful to have Jessel Gallery as a supporter of Open Studios Napa Valley and to have this beautiful space host our Preview Reception.

Thanks to Robert & Reuben Zlomke for sharing a peek at their drop-off at the gallery, and to Kent Parker for sharing a look at this beautiful koa wood watch box, now at Jessel Gallery as part of the Open Studios exhibition. You can see their work, along with pieces from the other participating artists, at the reception.
