Napa community, has anyone seen Moots?

Moots has been missing since Friday, August 14. According to her owner, this is completely unlike her. Moots lives at 2368 West Park Ave, across from the school entrance and a few houses down, almost to Massa.

Moots is very social and often greets people. Here are a few things that may help identify her:
🤎 She has a brown, heart-shaped spot on her left front paw.
🐾 The tip of her tail has a kink that you can’t see but can feel. She got it caught in a treadmill at her foster home before she was adopted.
🐄 She is usually responsive when you call, "Moo Moo!"

We launched Napa County’s first Community Pet Pantry Program because we believe in keeping pets and families together. No one should ever wonder when their next meal will be. 🩶

Thanks to the generosity of Andy and Betty Beckstoffer, the Community Pet Pantry continues to be a lifeline for local pet owners. Every year, the program distributes 40,000 pounds of pet food, provides 15,000 meals, and helps feed 7,500 pets across the North Bay Area.

And of course, this would not be possible without the help of our team and volunteers. Thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Napa, for showing up every month to distribute food to families in need.

Thank you, Wine Spectator for sharing the amazing impact that Jameson Humane's WineaPAWlooza has made this year!

Every dollar raised at WineaPAWlooza goes directly toward Jameson Humane's year-round mission and life-saving work: low-cost spay/neuter services, adoption and foster placement, disaster-response support for animals in crisis, community pet pantry, support for senior citizens' pets, and financial assistance, to name just a few initiatives.

To date, that work has impacted more than 60,000 lives across 26 states. With this year's auction pushing the event's lifetime total to $17.9 million, the Napa Valley wine community's generosity continues to fund the programmatic infrastructure that makes the safety net Jameson provides possible.

Todo (Microchip # 0A132E5649) is a small, elderly black-and-brown dachshund mix. She is deaf, nearly blind, slow-moving, and wearing a purple harness. Her harness could become caught on fencing, brush, equipment, or another object, and she may be trapped without making any sound. She also requires daily heart medication and cannot safely go without it.

🚨 LOST DOG — TIBURON — $10,000 REWARD, NO QUESTIONS ASKED 🚨

My 18-year-old dachshund mix Todo got out on Hacienda Drive in Tiburon on Saturday 7/25 around 7:30am — an Amazon driver left the gate open, and within 5 minutes I was out searching. She didn't get far on her own: she's tiny (15 lbs), slow, and can't climb stairs.

Two professional thermal drone companies searched the area and found NO trace of her outdoors. Both reached the same conclusion: Todo was almost certainly picked up by someone.

About Todo:
• DEAF and nearly blind — she won't respond to her name
• 18 years old, 15 lbs, black & brown, wearing a purple harness
• On daily heart medication — she has missed doses. This is medically urgent.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:
• If YOU picked her up — thank you for keeping her safe, and zero judgment. She urgently needs her heart medication. Please call me.
• If a neighbor, friend, or family member suddenly has a small senior dog — please ask about her.
• If you know an elderly person in the area who may be confused or forgetful — please check in on them. Someone may have taken Todo in believing she's their own dog or that they're helping her. A gentle visit could bring her home.

Thank you to the many compassionate and talented individuals at Jameson Humane who gave Pickles safety, patience, and a space of her own where she could feel calm and truly be herself. We’re beyond excited and happy for her next chapter. 💛

After years of anxiety and failed adoptions, Pickles the cat is finally headed to a forever home with Jameson Humane’s very own Luis Ibarra, known for his special bond with cats. A perfect match for Pickles.

Phoebe & Polly are looking for a home together! 🧡🐾

📍 Located in Clearlake, CA

Phoebe and Polly are two sweet, bonded girls who have been through a lot of change over the past year. After losing their previous owner and then being passed to another family member who has since entered permanent care, they are now looking for a loving home where they can stay together.

🐱 Phoebe is an orange-and-white short-haired domestic cat, approximately 7–10 years old. She is spayed, house-trained, and gets along well with other cats. She can be timid while adjusting to new surroundings, but once she feels comfortable, she has a wonderful personality.

🐱 Polly is an orange-and-white long-haired domestic cat, also approximately 7–10 years old. She is spayed, house-trained, and loving once she has had time to settle in. She is especially bonded with Phoebe, and the two should be rehomed together. 🧡

These two have already experienced so much change. We’d love to see them find a stable, loving home where they can finally settle in together. 🏡

Disasters can happen without warning. The question is: are you and your animals prepared? 🐴🐐🐄

For those who care for horses and other farm animals, having an emergency plan is just as important as having supplies. During an evacuation, every minute counts—and preparing ahead of time can make all the difference.

A well-stocked emergency kit for large animals should include:
🐴 Halters and lead ropes for every animal
🌾 At least 3 days of feed for evacuation (10+ days if sheltering in place)
💧 A minimum of 10 days of water if sheltering in place
🩺 Medications, prescriptions, and a veterinarian-approved first aid kit
📋 Vaccination, health, and ownership records (with copies stored in the cloud)
📸 Recent photos of each animal with you, including identifying markings
🏷️ Multiple forms of identification, such as a microchip, luggage tag in the mane, or your phone number written on the hoof or flank
🧰 Other essentials like zip ties, plastic bags, and species-specific comfort items

We encourage every large animal owner to create an evacuation plan before it's needed. Know where you'll go, how you'll transport your animals, and keep your emergency supplies organized and accessible. Practice your plan before the time comes!

We're grateful for organizations like Napa Community Animal Response Team - Napa CART Sonoma CART and Cal CARTs who work year-round to educate our communities on disaster preparedness, animal evacuation, and emergency sheltering. This checklist was created using their valuable resources.

Preparation today can protect both people and animals tomorrow. 🩶
