Volunteer for Our Parking Fundraiser: Help Make the Park Accessible to Everyone!
Whether it’s wheeling down our lighted trails or trying out adaptive rock climbing, our goal has always been simple: make sure the outdoors belongs to everyone in our community.
To keep our 3.5-mile lighted trail system fully accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, and to keep our adaptive activities running, we rely heavily on our annual Parking Fundraiser.
We are running the parking operations for the upcoming Irish Music Festival, and we’re looking for volunteers to help direct traffic and welcome festival-goers.
Directing traffic is a straightforward task, but it makes a genuine difference. Every shift directly covers the upkeep of our barrier-free trails and keeps our adaptive gear ready for action. You aren't just guiding cars, you're making sure a child in a wheelchair, a parent with a stroller, or an adaptive athlete can enjoy nature without limits.
What Your Time Helps Support:
Barrier-Free Trail Maintenance: Upkeep for our 3.5-mile lighted trail system so it stays safe and accessible year-round.
Adaptive Sports & Activities: Continued support for operations like adaptive zip-lining, archery, and cross-country skiing.
Free Inclusive Events: Ensuring community traditions like "Hike the Lights" remain completely free for every family.
If you can lend a few hours of your time, you will be directly helping us keep these paths open to everyone.
Your involvement directly transforms lives. Last year, the incredible success of our Parking Fundraiser helped us raise $10,000, which went directly towards purchasing an Action Trackchair. This motorized, off-road wheelchair has been a game-changer, providing people who use wheelchairs with the freedom to explore our hiking and skiing trails.
Volunteering for the Parking Fundraiser is a fantastic way to contribute to this vital mission and meet fellow community members. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to help and a passion for inclusivity!
