In Muskegon County, that translates to more than 21,000 adults. The adverse effects of illiteracy are felt in our economic, education, criminal justice, and healthcare systems. Read Muskegon is breaking the generational cycle of illiteracy by providing customized programs that meet the unique needs of our learners and building community partnerships to maximize our impact.

Success looks different for every learner. Recently, our tutors shared a few victories worth celebrating:

🚗 Louis (pictured below)!earned his driver's permit!
📚 "[Participant] discovered she can read now🎉"
⭐ "[Participant] told me that he had one of the best scores in his fifth-grade class in a particular reading program!"
🎉 "Her confidence has improved so much over the last few months! Her fave thing lately is making mini-books together during our sessions 🙂"

We're so proud of all of our learners and so grateful for all of our tutors!
