Please Share and Help Us Find a Kitten That Was Left at our Local Park.

This afternoon a message was sent to the President of Heaven Can Wait that someone saw a kitten that was dropped off at Kruse Park.

Teresa a HCW Volunteer is there now trying to find it. It’s little orange kitten. Teresa did find a cat carrier in the dumpster at the park. What do you think the chances of an orange kitten possibly named Nacho was dumped in the park?

There is no need to dump a helpless kitten anywhere except with a rescue group. All you have to do is call Diane Valk at 616-402-1417.

City of Montague residents, time to get your cats fixed!
Don’t miss out on this great opportunity!

City of Montague residents! There are still vouchers available to have your cat spay/neuter bill cut in half! Prepare for next spring, when new litters of kittens abound. Contact City Hall for more details.
City of Montague residents with cats that are not spayed or neutered can now get that important surgery for their pet at a significant discount through a partnership with the City of
Montague and Big Lake Community Animal Clinic in Muskegon.
The City is offering a voucher to city residents, which enables them to get 50% off the basic cost of spay or neuter surgery performed by veterinarians at the Clinic. That brings the owner’s share down to
$75 for spaying a female cat and $50 to neuter a male.
As part of this special partnership, Big Lake Community Animal Clinic will also give each kitty that is part of the voucher program a free rabies vaccine.
Spaying prevents unplanned litters of kittens, and that’s especially important because cats can have as many as three litters a year. Kittens are eligible to be spayed or neutered as soon as they are three months old!
To take part in the program, residents should first come to Montague City Hall to pick up the voucher, then call Big Lake Clinic to make an appointment for their cat. For more information about this program, call the City of Montague at 231-893-1155
