We’re excited to announce that the Muskegon Women’s Division Chamber of Commerce has selected Step Up as one of three nonprofit partners for its 17th Annual Trinkets & Treasures Fundraiser, alongside Fresh Coast Alliance and Big Lake Humane Society!

🛍 What is it?
A huge indoor yard sale featuring clothing, toys, jewelry, purses, housewares, vintage items, shoes, books, and more. Every dollar raised goes directly to the three nonprofit partners and back into our community.

The Lakes Mall

September 25, 26 & 27

We have a limited number of Pre-Sale Tickets available for $20, which give you access to the special pre-sale event on September 23. Tickets are limited, so don’t wait!

We also have 50/50 raffle tickets available for $10.

Our participants recently had the opportunity to attend a community worship night together—a beautiful evening of worship, fellowship, and time spent connecting with others in our community.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this that remind our participants they are part of something bigger than themselves and give them space to experience the love of Christ alongside others.

Prayer Request 🤍

Please join us in praying for wisdom and discernment as our Board and Director seek God's direction for the future growth of Step Up. Our heart is to be the hands and feet of Jesus to more young people in Muskegon County without compromising the quality of care and relationships we provide to those we currently serve.

Pray that God would make His path clear, provide the right people and resources, and faithfully guide the next season of our ministry.

Every Sunday, our participants are reminded that they are not walking this journey alone.

Thank you to the many volunteers who faithfully prepare a meal, share fellowship around the table, and encourage our participants through a devotional message. Your willingness to give your time each week creates meaningful relationships and points others to the hope of Christ. We are in awe by how quickly the remaining Sundays of the calendar year have filled up.

🏡 Welcome Home! 💕

Recently, we had the joy of welcoming a new expectant mother to the Step Up maternity house.

A move-in marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with hope, support, growth, and the opportunity to build a strong foundation for both mom and baby.

As she settles into her new home, we invite you to join us in praying for peace, strength, healthy relationships, and God's guidance in the months ahead.

We are grateful to walk alongside her and can't wait to see all that God has in store.

Last week, our staff and board members had the opportunity to host a cooking class at the Muskegon Rescue Mission’s Community Resource Center.

There is something special about gathering around a table to learn, laugh, and share a meal together. We are grateful for opportunities to partner with organizations that share a heart for serving our community.
