“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18

No matter what today holds, you are not walking through it alone. God draws near to those who are hurting, weary, and in need of hope. May you find comfort in His presence and strength in His faithfulness.

A home is more than four walls.
It’s safety. It’s dignity. It’s belonging.

That’s what we’re building because no one should walk into adulthood alone.

Fun experiences are an important part of Step Up’s program. Two weekends ago, staff and participants enjoyed a trip to the John Ball Zoo followed by a picnic together.

These opportunities help build relationships, create positive memories, and provide experiences that many of our participants might not otherwise have.

Thank you to for your generous donation, which helped make this special day possible!

3.5 million women give birth in the U.S. each year. 70,000 babies are born each year to mothers facing homelessness during pregnancy or shortly after birth.

We are seeking to create a safe beginning and hopeful future for our maternity participants and their families.

Know a young, pregnant woman facing uncertain or unsafe housing? Share our application with her!

Today, we ask for your prayers.

Pray for the mental health of the generation transitioning into adulthood – for those carrying trauma, anxiety, fear, and loneliness.

Pray for applicants to recognize their own value and worth enough to seek a new path and believe healing and stability are possible for them.

Pray for our current participants to experience peace, consistency, and healthy relationships as they continue to work toward independence.

We believe healing happens through relational support and the love of Christ. Thank you for praying alongside us.🤍

Recently, we had the opportunity to open our doors for a donor open house. One of our favorite parts of this work is sharing the heart behind what we do and the vision of providing a safe, Christ-centered environment for young women in our community.

Thank you for coming alongside us and investing in the lives of our participants. We truly could not do this without a community that cares so deeply. 🤍

We believe in fresh starts.

No matter the past, the future can be filled with purpose, faith, and opportunity.

Comment “new beginnings,” if you agree!

Step Up staff, volunteers, and board members have the incredible opportunity to model a life of following Jesus to our applicants, participants, and community. We are grateful for Christ—the perfect example we point others to—and for His presence at work within us.

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” — Galatians 2:20 (NIV)

At the end of April, we had an amazing group of volunteers from Bridge Bible Church “step up” and do some much needed spring cleaning! We are so grateful for all the work they did to make our houses feel like “homes” for the women at Step Up.
