I recently had Sparrow Rocket Art by Sparrow Richmond design me new stage banners. I love how they turned out. I’m pinching myself and probably won’t get over for sometime that my boy designed these and is a part of what I do in these concerts and family worship nights. How good is God?

I’ve been booking events for this fall and am so excited to take these banners on the road with me as I make Jesus loud!

I do believe ministry is a calling not just to a person but to a family. And what that looks like is a variety of things —design and art is one of the ways God has enabled my family to come alongside me on this mission. I’m sitting here really thankful!

My parents brought me some boiled peanuts from Mississippi. They brought me joy and delight. They are nostalgia, my tastebuds were formed to love.
I share about this in my book SWEET SOUND: THE POWER OF DISCIPLING KIDS IN WORSHIP.

As this Monday begins, reflect on Sunday and the past weeks. How is worship? Are you being intentional with it? Are you giving kids invitations to sit at His feet? Form their palate to love His presence. There will be a day and seasons ahead they will need to know how to run to that safe place. Show them the way.

Hey, it’s me!
My name is Yancy. I write and record songs for kids. I love leading them in worship. In a nutshell I “help kids fall in love with Jesus one song at a time.” You might be familiar with my cartoon from my series.
I also have written a book — I created and I travel doing concerts and leading worship, helping families create memories.

A couple years ago I also started Stained Glass Kids Podcast with Yancy a podcast I host for PK’s and ministry families.

Along the way I’ve won a couple Dove Awards for my music that makes Jesus loud!🏁🏁🏁

I’ve been taught when you hear something in echo to take notice. For a long time I’ve said that Heaven is gonna be real sweet….because I know there are so many churches, schools and families that listen to my music I’ll never meet this side of eternity.
This week I’ve had people tell me that very thing. How I’m gonna be amazed when I get there and can see in full how God used me here on earth. Today someone prayed for me and again the sentiment was repeated. It’s been one of those things where God has used others to encourage me on my journey.
I love Jesus.
I want Him to use my life.
“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived—the things God has prepared for those who love him—.

I recently sat down to tell the whole story about the project that became “Ready Set Go” that I won my first Dove Award for. It’s a story of revelation, stepping out in faith and miracles that all began when I went to visit —That place changed my life.

I share how I had become complacent with someone else’s dream along the way of my music career and how significant passing on something was to experiencing my own Dove Award win.

Ever wonder why I am obsessed with checkerboard patterns? 🏁🏁🏁 I explain that it’s more than a pattern. It’s a monument that reminds me and now all who will listen that their obedience matters to God.

I hope this testimony inspires your own faith story to walk in obedience to whatever God asks of you. Always remember: “The ripple effect of your obedience goes farther than you could ever imagine.”
