HOW CAN YOU HELP US?

This past school year 9 deserving students at Whitworth-Buchanan Middle School received free lessons. I think all of the current teachers would agree that it has been such a rewarding experience!
We have the following needs for the upcoming school year:
-VOLUNTEER TEACHERS in brass, woodwinds, percussion, voice and (for jazz ensemble) keyboard and guitar. The commitment for teachers is 1 hr per week with 1-3 students per half hour lesson. Lessons will be taught in a public middle school during school hours. We are also working on expanding to high schools. All volunteers will be subject to a background conducted and paid for by Rutherford County Schools.
-BOARD MEMBERS. We currently have a couple of openings. Commitment is approx. 4 meetings per year via zoom and occasional committee work. We try to work with your schedule.
-SUPPLIES AND MUSIC. Method and solo books, reeds, key oil, drum sticks, etc.
-INSTRUMENTS. Currently the school is providing the instruments, but we have been storing donated instruments in the event we need them in the future or for use in the summer if a student doesn't have access to a school instrument.
