Livelihoods provide more than income. Individuals gain greater stability, dignity, and independence when they have the opportunity to earn a living. 📈

Sustainable livelihoods allow communities to move from dependence to self-reliance. Whether it be agriculture, auto shops, bakeries, small businesses, beekeeping, or other income-generating initiatives, these jobs equip individuals and families with the means to provide for themselves and build not only a more secure future, but a skillset that provides them with various opportunities. ⚒️🐝🥐

Humanitarian aid is important in times of crisis. However, when communities have the tools to sustain themselves and their futures, the impact of aid and livelihoods goes beyond immediate relief.

Livelihoods surpass today’s needs and create opportunities for tomorrow. 🙏

Across Armenia, displaced Christian families from Artsakh continue to face the daily reality of food insecurity. Through one of our emergency relief initiatives, we continue to provide essential food assistance to some of the most vulnerable households, including elderly individuals living alone and families facing severe economic hardship. 🚚📦🫓

So far, 250 Christian households have received food packages filled with everyday essentials like flour, rice, lentils, sunflower oil, pastas, tomato paste, sugar, and other staple items that help sustain families during this difficult season.

Healing does not always begin with words.

In the aftermath of the October 7 attacks, entire kibbutz communities were left grieving unimaginable loss. Families mourned loved ones, children struggled to process trauma, and survivors faced the overwhelming task of rebuilding emotionally while navigating a new reality. 💔🙏

From the earliest days of the crisis, Shai Fund partnered with local therapists to provide art therapy materials and resources for communities most deeply impacted. Nearly three years later, that support continues.

Art therapy creates a safe space for emotions that are often too difficult to express. Through painting, drawing, sculpting, and other creative outlets, children and adults can begin to process grief, trauma, fear, and loss, one step at a time. 🎨💙

Healing is not linear, and recovery does not happen overnight. But because of your support, therapists have the tools they need to walk alongside families as they grieve, rebuild, and rediscover hope.

For months, the need in southern Lebanon has been urgent. Christian families have faced an impossible choice: leave behind generations of history or remain in the communities they call home. 💔

Ongoing conflict made access to basic necessities increasingly difficult. Many villages grew isolated and families struggled to secure the essentials like fuel and cooking gas. Many of these families chose to stay to preserve their homes, churches, and the communities that have shaped their identity for centuries.

Through our trusted networks, Shai Fund helped deliver 60,000 liters of fuel to vulnerable families in two Christian villages in southern Lebanon. Despite the difficult conditions and logistical challenges, the convoy reached those who needed it most. 🚚⛽️

This delivery means more than fuel. It means families can cook meals, support essential services, and continue building life in the communities they are determined to protect.

For over a year, Shai Fund’s earthquake recovery livelihood project has helped small businesses rebuild after the devastating 2023 earthquake.📈

In Turkey’s Hatay Province, one locally supported pharmacy is now serving as a lifeline for the community, reaching more than 15,800 individuals with essential care while creating consistent income and opportunity for minority families rebuilding after disaster. ⛑️⚒️

What began as recovery support has grown into long-term resilience. The pharmacy has already surpassed its original income projections, with cumulative net income now 231% greater than the initial investment.

This is the impact of sustainable recovery: empowering local businesses and strengthening communities in the aftermath of natural disasters. 💛
