Posey County Historical Society The Posey County Historical Society was established in 1922. After the collection was vandalized in the 1930"s, the Society disbanded.

In 1972, a group re-organized the Historical Society and has been going strong ever since! We are located in the Hedges Central Community Center - Door #4

Some has asked if we have any photos of the old Sunoco gas station in Wadesville on Highway 66. The time period is the 1970's. Their grandfather owned it at one time and they would love to see a photo of the station.
